  The hotel itself is elegant and chic. The rooms are lovely, we had a comfortable bed, impressive bathroom and a small terrace which had a small but inaccessible garden behind it. We booked the gastronomic experience and were really looking forward to it but were disappointed. Some of the courses were bland and overcooked. Our first course of appetizers was delicious but all other courses were inferior in taste and creativity. Breakfast was pleasant. The hotel was very quiet and no music so a little lacking in atmosphere as it is downstairs in the cellar type area. If they have outside gardens, I think breakfast would be much more suitable in those. I had complained about the standard of our meal the night before that morning at reception and the chef apologised that I did not enjoy it. At checkout, the lady at reception was not polite and did not ask about our stay or mention my complaint from that morning. She charged us the full 320 euros for one night with breakfast and the gastronomic experience. I think this is far too much for midweek when it is extremely quiet, the meal was mediocre and the service at a low standard. It is worth mentioning that there was only one other table eating in the restaurant when we were so perhaps it is telling if their popularity has declined. All in all an elegant hotel that could do a lot better with what it has.
